Production Assembler Operator

Job Summary

Join our team in Durham, NC, at Foxconn, where you will be responsible for assembling components and products according to specified guidelines to ensure they meet quality standards. Durham is a vibrant city known for its rich history, cultural diversity, and thriving economy.

Responsibilities

• Apply labels accurately in accordance with specification documents and quality standards.
• Handle high-value and sensitive components with care to prevent damage or defects.
• Follow instructions and directions from supervisors, engineers, and management in a fast-paced environment.
• Read, understand, and execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) consistently and correctly.
• Safely work with electrostatic discharge (ESD)-sensitive materials using proper handling protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including testing, engineering, and management, to ensure alignment and workflow efficiency.
• Proactively identify issues and seek guidance when encountering blockers or uncertainties.
• Maintain flexibility to work overtime as required, including mandatory extended shifts when needed.
• Train and mentor new personnel once fully qualified to ensure consistency in processes and quality standards.
• Support operations across multiple departments and production lines based on business needs and production demands.
• Perform strict visual inspections in accordance with QA requirements to ensure product quality and compliance.
• Prepare for assembly by reviewing assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gather necessary parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Position parts and subassemblies using templates or precise measurements to correctly place components.
• Assemble components by examining connections and fastening parts and subassemblies securely.
• Verify specifications by measuring completed components to confirm they meet required specifications.
• Resolve assembly issues by adjusting dimensions to meet specifications and notifying supervisors when additional resources are needed.
• Ensure a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Assembly line experience preferred.
