Overview:
Production & Packaging Technicians report to the Production & Packaging Manger and assist in the day-to-day operations of the RTD canning facility.
Duties include setting up, operation of, and breakdown and cleaning of all production equipment on a daily basis. Position also assists in equipment maintenance, shipping and receiving, and general janitorial work throughout the facility.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist in canning operation, including setup and breakdown of packaging lines, box building, pack off, walk in organization
- Learn to operate canning line and associated equipment
- Cleaning, organizing, and maintenance of all packaging equipment, inventory, and raw materials
- General janitorial work, i.e., cleaning stainless parts, sweep and scrub floors, duty, etc.
- Shipping and receiving help
- Operate a forklift to safely load, unload and move material in the work area per manufacturer's instructions.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates should:
- Have basic mechanical skills and the ability to operate machinery, including a forklift
- Maintain organization, discipline, be detail oriented with the ability to multitask
- Possess excellent time management and organizational skills
- Have a willingness to assist with tasks outside key responsibilities
- Have the ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environments, move and maneuver 100+lbs, stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, reach, twist and crouch repeatedly while working in a loud, fast paced environment.
- Be able to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly during a 10-hour shift
- Be able to bend, twist and stoop repeatedly during a 10-hour shift
Wage/Salary:
$19.00 - $20.00 hour
