Operator II Lab Support

Position Summary
The Operator II Lab Support plays a critical role in ensuring the operational efficiency of manufacturing laboratories by managing supply needs across the entire operations team. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment, and the capability to work independently while collaborating with multiple departments. Operator II will be responsible for supplying production with materials, cleaning and replenishing glassware for chemistry laboratories, utilizing inventory management systems (ERP), performing cycle counts, and performing material handling duties.

Key Responsibilities
" Lab Supply Management Oversee all lab supply needs for the operations team, including monitoring inventory levels, ordering supplies, stocking, and organizing work areas.
" Operational Support Maintain stocking levels of essential lab items to ensure no delays in the production schedule. Including cleaning and replenishing glassware in a timely manner.
" Inventory Control Perform routine cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain accurate records in the inventory management system.
" Inventory System Management Execute inventory transactions and reporting in an inventory management system to maintain real-time supply visibility.
" SOP Compliance Follow all safe work practices, SOPs, and internal quality standards for handling and storing materials.
" Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with manufacturing, quality, and warehouse teams to align supply needs with production goals.
" Continuous Improvement Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve turnaround time.
" General Duties Aid with other lab support or material handling function responsibilities as assigned to meet business needs. Overtime may be required as needed to support a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Minimum Qualifications
" High school diploma or equivalent required; associate s degree or higher preferred.
" 1+ years of experience in a laboratory or manufacturing role
" Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
" Proficient with computer software including ERP system and Microsoft Suites.
" Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications
" Experience with ERP systems (E1, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
" Prior material handling and inventory management experience
" Familiarity with chemistry laboratory operations including safe handling of solvents and glassware
" Familiar with chemical hygiene concepts and chemical SDS

Physical Requirements
" Ability to stand, walk, and be active for 6 7 hours/day while performing job duties, moving between labs and buildings on site.
" Ability to move objects up to 50 lbs
" Ability to wear PPE (safety glasses, lab coat, latex gloves), handle detergent, and clean glassware
