Title :                Material Handler II
Location:          Austin, TX 
Duration:          0-12 months
Shift:                1st Shift
Pay Rate:         $22.00 - $23.00

 
Job Duties:
  • Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and correctly process items for storage and/or shipment according to established procedures and customer requirements, ensuring high quality and timely delivery.
  • Receive materials and/or finished goods daily, verifying the quality, type, and quantity of materials received and ensuring appropriate documentation is present (e.g., packing list).
  • Operate PC applications and systems, including Microsoft Excel, E-1, and SAP.
  • Update and maintain the SAP system.
  • Coordinate all related activities with the distribution team with minimum supervision.
  • Ensure that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor/management.
 
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1-2 years of related experience.
  • A preferred background includes experience with SAP spanning two to three years.
  • Experience in Receiving spanning approximately one to two years.
  • Ability to operate powered industrial trucks in addition to equipment located at various heights.
  • Intermediate digital literacy to navigate ERP systems, Outlook, and shipping software to support daily operations.
  • Prepared to work within a warehouse environment exposed to different temperatures, including room temperature (59–86 degrees F), cold-room (36-46 degrees F), and freezer-room (minus 4 – 23 degrees F).
  • Experience functioning in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
 
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and manage through complex processes/projects.
  • SAP knowledge is highly preferred.
  • Good written/verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
 
Physical Demands:
  • Frequently encouraged to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
  • Regularly required to speak and hear in an environment with background noise.
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 pounds.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability
