Our client, a growing global manufacturing organization, is seeking a hands-on Product Technician / Process Engineer to lead the launch and ongoing success of a new production line focused on wrapped parts profiling. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a highly visible operation backed by long-term customer commitments and significant investment.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys being on the production floor, solving problems, optimizing processes, and collaborating across departments. Rather than focusing primarily on product design, you'll become the subject matter expert for an entire manufacturing process, including equipment, materials, procedures, and operator training.

What You'll Do
As the Product Technician / Process Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes that drive quality, efficiency, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and own manufacturing processes for a new production line
Develop and optimize workflows, procedures, and operating methods
Analyze production performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput
Troubleshoot process, equipment, material, and production issues
Serve as the liaison between Production, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams
Support new product and process development initiatives
Evaluate manufacturing feasibility and provide recommendations on investments and expenditures
Recommend and implement manufacturing concepts and process improvements
Identify equipment requirements, tooling needs, and production resource allocation
Coordinate tooling modifications and process revisions based on customer and product requirements
Create and deliver operator training programs to ensure process consistency and performance
Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions
Conduct quality analyses and support continuous improvement initiatives
Facilitate lessons learned and after-action reviews
Champion innovation and identify opportunities to improve business results
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
Manufacturing engineering, process engineering, production engineering, or similar experience
Experience supporting highly automated manufacturing environments
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, quality systems, and continuous improvement methodologies
Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments
Hands-on approach with a passion for solving real-world production challenges
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Woodworking, wood products, furniture, cabinetry, millwork, or related manufacturing experience
Experience launching new production lines or manufacturing processes
Knowledge of automation, process optimization, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma principles
Experience training operators and developing standardized work procedures
