POSITION OVERVIEW
• Team expansion into AWS, Snowflake, and advanced Python
development requires additional specialized technical expertise.
• Projects involving cloud architecture, analytical engineering,
data modeling, and AI/ML demand skills to be executed successfully.
• A specialist is critical to maintaining project timelines and
ensuring delivery of scalable, modern data solutions.
• Role will support the design and creation of logical and
physical data models aligned with complex business and technical needs.
• Position will produce analytical models that enhance reporting,
decision making, and overall data-driven insights across the organization.
• Collaboration across business units, application teams, DBAs,
and leadership requires an experienced technical resource to develop
high quality analytical solutions.
• The specialist will help business units improve their ability to
serve taxpayers through improved data solutions and insights.
• Staying current with emerging analytics and database
technologies is essential; this role will lead to evaluation and testing of new
tools for possible adoption.
• Position strengthens the department’s capability to support
continued modernization efforts and long term data strategy.
WHAT’S NEEDED
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field Required Highly skilled in data analysis software, statistical analysis software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, IOP suite). Required Highly skilled in business intelligence (BI) & expert with data visualization tool (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Cognos) Required Highly skilled in coding & reporting (e.g., Python, R, SQL) Required Highly skilled in data preparation & transformation, machine learning, predictive & prescriptive analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx) Required Highly skilled in SQL & extract, transform & load (ETL). Required Experience with Snowflake Required Experience with Streamlit Required
