Summary:
Applies Design Principles in conjunction with Material Review Board (MRB) processes to disposition discrepant products during initial fabrication and installation of electrical wire harnesses.
Provides on-site, direct engineering support to Operations partners in a production environment.
Reviews and interprets electrical drawing diagrams, schematics, and specifications.
Applies knowledge of electrical fabrication and installation planning of electrical wire harnesses.
Uses prior commercial airplane (BCA) or defense (BDS) systems knowledge for engineering support.
Applies prior knowledge of VC-25 or 747 airplane design principles including wiring diagrams and specifications.
Dispositions discrepant products using MRB processes during fabrication and installation phases.
Supports wire harness fabrication and installation with engineering technical expertise.
Provides engineering support in an Operations and Production environment.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience (e.g. PhD, Master 3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Engineering or technical degree from an ABET (preferred) accredited college.
Capable of reviewing and interpreting electrical drawing diagrams, schematics, and specifications.
Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) processes for product dispositioning.
Knowledge of electrical fabrication and installation planning of electrical wire harnesses.
Familiarity with prior commercial airplane (BCA) or defense (BDS) systems.
Prior knowledge of VC-25 or 747 airplane design principles including wiring diagrams and specifications.
Ability to work a 3 x 12 shift (Friday through Sunday) in an Operations or Production environment.
US Citizen or US Person status.
