Overview:
Gallagher Bassett is seeking a Product Strategy Owner – Claim Intake to lead the transformation of our claim intake ecosystem into a digital, AI-enabled, omnichannel experience. This role combines strategic product ownership with deep operational and technology expertise, driving the vision, roadmap, and delivery of innovative solutions that improve client, claimant, and adjuster experiences.
This is not a traditional business analyst or support-focused SME position. We are seeking a strategic individual who will:
- Own the product end-to-end, from vision and strategy through delivery and adoption.
- Translate complexity into scalable solutions that improve operational performance and customer experience.
- Drive transformation and modernization, not simply maintain existing processes and systems.
- Leverage AI and emerging technologies to redefine how claims are reported, triaged, and routed.
- Deliver measurable business outcomes through product innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Own the end-to-end product strategy, roadmap, and execution for Gallagher Bassett's claim intake platform.
- Lead the design and delivery of AI-powered and conversational intake capabilities across multiple channels, including web, phone, mobile, and digital self-service.
- Drive development of intelligent triage, routing, and assignment solutions that improve speed, accuracy, and customer experience.
- Translate complex operational processes and technical requirements into scalable product capabilities and business value.
- Define product vision, priorities, business cases, success metrics, and outcome-based roadmaps.
- Partner with stakeholders across Claims, Operations, Technology, Data & Analytics, and Client Services to align product investments with strategic objectives.
- Leverage data, customer insights, and market trends to identify opportunities for innovation, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Manage product backlogs, requirements, and release planning while balancing business needs, technical considerations, and delivery timelines.
- Champion modernization initiatives, emerging technologies, and AI-driven solutions that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management or Engineering (or commensurate experience) and 7 years related product development experience required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
Desired:
- Strong claims, insurance, or intake experience
- Experience with:
- AI/ML, NLP, or conversational interfaces
- Workflow automation / decisioning systems
- Omnichannel digital products
- True product mindset (not just requirements gathering)
- Ability to operate in both:
- Strategic (vision, roadmap)
- Tactical (stories, debugging, delivery)
- Comfortable in ambiguity and building from scratch
