We're looking for a Product Manager, specializes in valves and actuators to own the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle of the product portfolio within the Buildings business.
This is a great opportunity for someone who understands both the technical side of HVAC/building automation products and the business side of bringing those products to market. You'll spend time understanding what customers need, keeping an eye on competitors and market trends, and working with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to turn those insights into products that perform well and make sense commercially.
You'll have a strong influence on new product development, product improvements, pricing, positioning, and long-term portfolio strategy. The role also has a significant focus on HVAC, hydronic systems, building automation, data centers, and other high-performance building applications.
What You'll Do
- Own the overall product strategy for valve and actuator products, balancing customer needs, growth, profitability, and market competitiveness.
- Identify target markets, customer segments, applications, and opportunities for growth.
- Talk with customers and internal teams to understand needs, challenges, and emerging market trends.
- Research competitors and translate market feedback into product requirements and development priorities.
- Build and manage the product roadmap, balancing immediate business needs with longer-term opportunities.
- Lead new product introductions from the initial business case and product definition through development, launch, and post-launch performance.
- Work closely with Engineering and R&D on product requirements, design, testing, validation, and improvements.
- Evaluate product gaps, pricing, portfolio performance, and competitive positioning.
- Serve as the go-to technical resource for valve and actuator products, supporting Sales, Applications, customers, and other internal teams.
- Develop product positioning, messaging, target applications, and go-to-market strategies.
- Partner with Marketing to plan and execute product launches and other go-to-market activities.
- Work with Sales, Engineering, Applications, Operations, and Supply Chain to make sure products are technically feasible, manufacturable, scalable, and cost-effective.
- Track product performance after launch and identify opportunities to improve products, pricing, and market adoption.
- Make decisions quickly and take ownership in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change.
- Travel internationally as needed to support customers, suppliers, business development, and product initiatives.
