The Protection Products area manages Edward Jones’ protection product line, inclusive of life insurance, long‑term care, and disability income insurance and protection referral services. The team leads and coordinates the firm’s protection product and distribution strategy, manages product and distribution partner relationships, and ensures branch teams have a consistent supply of high‑quality insurance solutions and external wholesaling support. Through innovation and deep subject‑matter expertise, the team ensures clients receive high‑quality product options that align with the firm’s advice and guidance philosophy.
The Product Manager plays a critical role in advancing this strategy through cross-team collaboration, partner relationship management, and delivery of initiatives that enhance both branch team and client experiences

What You’ll Do
  • Execute the firm’s Protection strategy to ensure branch teams have high‑quality product solutions and support needed to help clients reach their financial goals.
  • Design and develop innovative solutions by gathering insights, conducting advanced analysis, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Actively manage partner relationships of moderate to high complexity, collaborating on business planning, shaping product design and portfolio decisions, resolving issues, and maintaining strong ongoing engagement with partner contacts.
  • Ensure product literature and wholesaling support are effective, compliant, and aligned with key firm messages.
  • Collaborate on the design, development, and execution of integrated platforms, systems, tools, and processes that enhance client and branch team experiences.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on assigned partner offerings, including features, pricing, benefits, and competitive positioning.
  • Monitor tax, legal, and regulatory developments impacting the product line and help the team respond appropriately.
  • Represent the product line through cross‑divisional initiatives, partner events, and additional team responsibilities such as recruiting, training, or wholesaler coordination
What Experience You'll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree required; quantitative disciplines preferred (finance, economics, accounting, mathematics, engineering, actuarial science, etc.).
  • Series 7, 66, and life/health license required within 12 months of hire.
  • Progress toward an advanced degree or relevant industry designation(s) preferred.
  • 7+ years of relevant financial services experience, with insurance experience preferred.
