The Product Manager is a technical expert who manages a portfolio of products through the product life cycle. This includes launching new products, developing launch plans and promotional activities to drive sales, and training our worldwide sales team. The Product Manager supports decisions on product positioning and pricing strategy. The Product Manager drafts new marketing content and uses that content to promote the sales of products in their area of responsibility. The Product Manager must have a passion for learning, a strong technical understanding of the area of responsibility, be a good communicator, and have above average writing skills.

 

The Product Manager role is office-based.

 

Approximately 5% travel may be required.

 

 

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and independent Product Manager to join our growing Product Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for launching and commercializing automated NGS library preparation solutions on liquid handling platforms, driving adoption across Takara Bio's existing and new customer base. The ideal candidate will have extensive technical knowledge and hands-on experience with both next-generation sequencing workflows and automated liquid handling platforms. This includes performing NGS workflows on automated systems during graduate studies, post-doctoral research, or in industrial employment, and having previous product management experience bringing automation-enabled solutions to market. In this role, you will demonstrate a creative approach to drive results and build relationships with internal stakeholders across R&D, operations, sales, and marketing, as well as external instrument and technology partners. In summary, this is an ideal role for someone with good experience in product management and marketing to take ownership and grow the sales of a strategically important product portfolio with immense growth potential and deliver high-quality results to drive the business’ success.

This range may be modified at any time at our sole discretion.  This base salary does not include additional bonus compensation and benefits.
