Job Description


The Data Product Manager will lead the definition and delivery of data products supporting Indirect and Reverse Logistics Supply Chain data. This individual will serve as the connection between business stakeholders, analysts, source-system teams, and data engineering teams to ensure business needs are translated into clear, actionable data requirements. A key focus of this role will be supporting the modernization and migration to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

The Data Product Manager will develop a strong understanding of business processes and the underlying data needed to support them. They will partner with stakeholders to identify needs, define product requirements and acceptance criteria, prioritize work, and maintain a product backlog. The role is responsible for driving work from discovery and requirements through development, testing, implementation, and adoption.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Partner with business, reporting, analytics, and technology teams to understand business problems and identify data needs.
  • Translate business and analytical needs into clear data product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized deliverables.
  • Own and maintain the product backlog and establish priorities based on business value, dependencies, risk, and delivery commitments.
  • Develop sufficient understanding of the data to validate requirements, investigate issues, and ensure delivered data meets consumer needs.
  • Coordinate dependencies across source systems, data engineering teams, reporting teams, and other product teams.
  • Proactively identify risks, blockers, and dependencies and communicate their impact to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Drive testing and validation of data products in partnership with engineering, analysts, and business users.
  • Establish and monitor expectations for data quality, completeness, timeliness, and usability.
  • Drive data product modernization and migration efforts to GCP, partnering with engineering, analytics, and business teams to transition existing data pipelines, datasets, and downstream reporting capabilities to the future-state platform.
  • Communicate product priorities, delivery progress, decisions, risks, and upcoming work clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
