We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our team in Cary, North Carolina. This is an on-site role focused on real-time video transmission technologies used across professional broadcast, live production, remote newsgathering, public safety, and other mission-critical environments.
Our solutions support applications where reliable, secure, low-latency video transport is essential. In this role, you will help translate product strategy into execution by defining requirements, guiding development, supporting launches, and ensuring successful delivery of competitive products.
The ideal candidate understands live production workflows and is comfortable working with technologies used in broadcast and mission-critical applications, including public safety and government environments.
Own the execution of assigned products within the real-time video transmission portfolio.
Translate product strategy and customer needs into clear, actionable product requirements.
Work closely with engineering teams to guide development priorities, resolve technical and product trade-offs, and support timely delivery.
Break roadmap initiatives into actionable development plans, requirements, and milestones.
Track development progress and communicate status, risks, and priorities to key stakeholders.
Partner with operations and manufacturing teams on product transitions, forecasting, lifecycle updates, and production readiness.
Support product decisions throughout the development lifecycle from concept through launch and sustaining activities.
Gather and analyze feedback from broadcasters, live production teams, content creators, and public safety users.
Develop a strong understanding of broadcast and live production workflows, including field and remote production environments.
Understand public safety use cases such as:
Incident response
Situational awareness
Field-to-command video transmission
Emergency response operations
Engage with customers and internal teams to identify product needs, workflow challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Monitor competitive offerings across broadcast, professional video, and public safety markets.
Identify feature gaps, emerging trends, and opportunities for continuous product improvement.
Provide customer and market insights that help influence product direction and prioritization.
Support the definition of product requirements for public safety, government, and mission-critical applications.
Help ensure products provide reliable, low-latency performance under challenging network and field conditions.
Consider operational requirements such as:

Reliability in changing network environments
Work with sales and field teams to support evaluations, pilots, demonstrations, and deployments with public safety and government customers.
Translate operational feedback from mission-critical users into practical product improvements and requirements.
Serve as a key interface between engineering, sales, customer support, marketing, operations, and manufacturing.
Partner closely with engineering to clarify requirements, evaluate technical trade-offs, and support development decisions.
Support sales teams with product expertise during customer meetings, demonstrations, evaluations, and field engagements.
Collaborate with marketing on product messaging, positioning, launch materials, and go-to-market readiness.
Provide product knowledge and technical context to customer support teams.
Help ensure internal teams understand product capabilities, use cases, target customers, and competitive differentiators.
Communicate effectively across both technical and commercial audiences.
Contribute to product roadmap development using feedback from customers, sales teams, engineering, and market research.
Provide roadmap input based on evolving needs across broadcast, live production, public safety, and mission-critical markets.
Help prioritize features and improvements based on customer value, technical feasibility, market opportunity, and business objectives.
Convert strategic initiatives into well-defined development plans.
Track roadmap progress and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Help balance immediate customer needs with longer-term product strategy.
Support new product introductions and product launches.
Coordinate launch readiness across engineering, sales, marketing, support, operations, and manufacturing.
Develop or contribute to:
Product documentation
Training materials
Sales enablement
Internal product training
Launch communications
Ensure smooth handoff of new products to customer support and operations teams.
Manage ongoing product revisions, enhancements, and sustaining activities.
Support lifecycle decisions and product transitions as products and markets evolve.
3–7 years of product management or related experience, such as engineering, systems engineering, technical product management, or technical marketing.
Experience working with technical hardware/software products.
Experience in professional video, broadcast, live production, or mission-critical communications preferred.
Exposure to public safety, defense, government, or mission-critical video applications is highly desirable.
Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and customer-facing teams.
Experience translating customer requirements into actionable product or engineering requirements.
Working knowledge of professional video technologies, including:
H.264
H.265 / HEVC
IP video transport
Low-latency video streaming
Understanding of integrated hardware and software systems.
Familiarity with network-based video transmission technologies.
Understanding of live video contribution and transmission workflows.
Familiarity with resilient communication technologies such as:
Cellular bonding
Multi-network transmission
Wireless video transmission
Ultra-low-latency encoding
IP contribution
Secure video transport
Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them effectively to customers and commercial teams.
Engineering degree or equivalent technical background is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively across both technical and commercial teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working directly with customers, sales teams, engineers, and other stakeholders.

Experience supporting live production, broadcast, or public safety workflows.
Familiarity with cellular bonding and multi-network video transmission.
Experience with wireless video technologies.
Knowledge of ultra-low-latency video encoding and transport.
Familiarity with IP contribution workflows.
Experience with secure video transport for government or public safety applications.
Experience with competitive analysis and product positioning.
Experience developing products for multiple vertical markets.
Technical or engineering background.
Previous experience supporting field evaluations, customer pilots, or product demonstrations.
This is a full-time, exempt, on-site position based in Cary, North Carolina. This role is not remote.
Travel requirements may fluctuate throughout the year depending on customer engagements, product launches, industry events, evaluations, and field deployments.
The role may require:
Periodic domestic travel.
International travel as business needs require.
Travel frequency that may increase or decrease on a quarterly basis.
Participation in customer demonstrations, field evaluations, trade shows, or product deployments.
