Description & Requirements
What is the role?
We are looking for a creative, visionary, hands-on Product Manager to lead Bloomberg Note and help define Bloomberg’s authoring experience. Bloomberg Note is a strategic imperative in the age of AI and a key differentiator in how clients have created, managed, and published their own content on the Terminal. In the age of AI, clients need to be able to create and store unstructured content natively within Bloomberg, giving greater context to Bloomberg’s AI, leading to a smarter, faster, personalized experience for our users. Our goal is to make Bloomberg the preferred environment for authoring, enabling clients to create high-quality research and content dramatically faster while staying connected to Bloomberg workflows.
As the Product Manager for Note and Authoring in ASKB, Terminal, Mobile, and Office products. you will be the voice of the client, building a deep understanding of how users capture findings, organize supporting material, collaborate, and publish insights as part of their day-to-day workflows. You will define the vision, business objectives, and roadmap, across all aspects of the product experience. You will work closely with ASKB Product (our Bloomberg conversational assistant) and our AI team, as well as Engineering, UX, CTO, other product teams, Sales and Support to make authoring and publishing a seamless, integrated, experience.
This is a senior Product Management role at the center of Bloomberg’s broader authoring strategy. The right candidate will combine product vision with execution discipline, strong client empathy, and the ability to lead complex platform evolution across many stakeholders, workflows, and technical dependencies.
We’ll trust you to:
+ Define and execute the vision, business objectives, and roadmap for Bloomberg Note and Bloomberg’s broader AI-first authoring experience
+ Act as the voice of the client by developing strong relationships with clients, Sales, Market Specialists, Support, and internal stakeholders to understand how users capture, manage, share, and publish content
+ Ensure Note content integrates naturally into broader Bloomberg workflows, including Bloomberg Drive, Charts, BQL (our query language), and other experiences where client-authored content should be visible, actionable, and reusable
+ Build workflows that help clients manage findings before publishing, moving seamlessly from captured observations and clippings to structured, shareable output
+ Drive the evolution of the next-generation editor by adding structure, templates, rules, and richer publishing capabilities, while leading a thoughtful migration and sunset plan for the legacy editor
+ Partner closely with our ASKB (our conversational assistant) and AI teams to deliver AI-assisted authoring and publishing experiences, including drafting, structuring, summarization, editing, and context-aware publishing workflows
+ Drive adoption by increasing the number of clients creating, sharing, and publishing content on the Terminal
+ Collaborate with other Product Managers to ensure Note integrates Bloomberg data, analytics, and functionality from other domains, and that strategy and development initiatives align across the company
+ Work closely with Engineering and Design to deliver intuitive, polished, trustworthy experiences that balance ease of use with control, quality, and client trust
+ Define usage metrics and success measures across creation, sharing, publishing, retention, AI-assisted workflow adoption, and overall product quality
+ Communicate product strategy, priorities, trade-offs, and progress clearly to senior leadership, development teams, Sales, Support, and clients
You’ll need to have:
+ At least 10 years of product management experience, preferably in financial technology, workflow software, productivity tools, knowledge systems, or content platforms
+ Strong financial market knowledge and a clear understanding of how clients create, consume, and share insight across research, portfolio management, sales and trading, and other Terminal workflows
+ Proven experience defining product vision, business objectives, and phased roadmaps for complex, heavily used products
+ Demonstrated ability to lead highly cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, teams, and technical dependencies
+ Experience partnering closely with Engineering and Design to build highly interactive user experiences and workflow-oriented applications
+ Strong product judgment and the ability to make difficult prioritization, migration, and deprecation decisions in mature products
+ Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across teams without direct authority
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to strategy, prioritization, and success assessment
+ Experience working directly with clients to validate strategy, gather feedback, and translate workflows into product decisions
We’d love to see:
+ Experience with authoring, publishing, document, note-taking, or knowledge management products
+ Experience building AI-assisted or AI-native product experiences, especially around writing, summarization, publishing, or workflow acceleration
+ Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal workflows and products such as ASKB, Charts, BQL, or other foundational applications
+ Experience leading modernization efforts or migrating clients from legacy to next-generation workflows while maintaining adoption and trust
+ A track record of balancing product polish, platform architecture, and adoption in high-visibility, high-usage products
