WHO WE ARE:

Financial Independence Group (FIG) is one of the nation’s largest Finance and Insurance Marketing Organizations (FMO & IMO) in the country, partnering with thousands of financial professionals in all 50 states. This is accomplished through robust product offerings, innovative marketing, and cutting-edge technology.

ABOUT THE TEAM:

FIG’s Product & Tech Team is no ordinary “IT Team.” We build proprietary software that powers how the business runs, and we’re unapologetically AI-forward in how we do it. Every member of our team is expected to leverage AI and automation to do better work, faster — not as a side project, but as the default way we operate.

We move quickly, challenge assumptions, and reinvent our own workflows constantly. Our culture rewards curiosity, experimentation, and the people who keep asking, “what if we automated this entirely?” We work in tight collaboration with operations, sales, and our financial professional clients to identify friction, eliminate it, and ship solutions that compound over time.

AS PART OF THE PRODUCT TEAM, YOUR ROLE WOULD BE TO:

Own the product strategy and roadmap for a critical area of the business — partnering with stakeholders and executives to define vision, prioritize ruthlessly, and ship outcomes that move the needle

Use AI as your everyday operating system — leveraging tools like Claude, Copilot, and emerging agentic platforms to accelerate research, drafting, analysis, prototyping, and decision-making

Re-engineer workflows end-to-end by identifying manual, repetitive, or high-friction processes and replacing them with automations, AI agents, or product solutions that scale

Drive product discovery through delivery — defining requirements, partnering with engineering and design, managing the full development lifecycle, and validating impact post-launch

Translate complexity into clarity — communicating technical concepts, AI capabilities, and product trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and executives, financial professional clients, and vendors to surface real problems worth solving

Measure what matters by tracking product performance, user feedback, and automation ROI to continuously improve outcomes

WHY YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON:

•3+ years of experience in a software product role within an agile team environment

•Demonstrated track record of using AI tools (Claude, Copilot, agent frameworks, etc.) to materially change how you work — not just dabbled, but integrated into your daily workflow

•A builder’s instinct for spotting inefficient workflows and the technical curiosity to prototype, automate, or eliminate them

•Deeply curious — you experiment with new tools the week they drop, and you push the boundaries of what’s possible with available technology

•Strong systems thinking with a critical eye for detail, edge cases, and how processes connect across the business

•Excellent written and verbal communication, especially the ability to explain complex or technical ideas in plain language

•Comfort with ambiguity and a self-starter mindset — you don’t wait for the perfect spec to make progress

•Experience with Agile development methodologies and modern product tooling (Jira, Confluence, analytics platforms)

•Bonus: hands-on experience building automations (Zapier, Make, n8n, Power Automate), prompt engineering, or working with APIs and no-code/low-code platforms
