Description

Our Sustainable and Adhesive Solutions (SAS) business segment is growing and looking for a Product Manager for our Global Tape Backings business to help drive the transformation of the category through insights-based strategies that increase profitability and enable a product pipeline that delivers on the needs of our customers and the market.
The primary responsibilities for the Product Manager include ownership of business strategy development and product roadmap for strategic categories, improving the profitability of the business and ownership of portfolio management and mix.
Responsibilities:
New Product Development & Commercialization
Initiate projects to develop and/or improve products aligned with business segment strategy
Develop specific projects and business plans including opportunity size, product requirements and value proposition
Execute project plans, actively manage development and commercialization projects working closely with R&D, Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain and Operations
Lead programs through stage gate innovation process, delivering on time and in full to the market
Assist the selling teams in understanding the needs of end-users/converters from the customer's perspective
Product Roadmap, Pricing & Profitability
Create compelling, multi-year category plans designed to accelerate growth across global marketplace using insights, trends and technical capability mapping
Perform research to develop clear understanding of markets, customers, competition, relative performance, positioning and right to win for products
Work with Sales, Operations, R&D and other partners to assess gaps in technology and manufacturing capabilities in implementing product road map and develop plans to address
Establish pricing and pricing strategy for our portfolio and perform ongoing work to improve pricing and margin
Work with sales teams to identify potential solutions to customer challenges, positioning Mativ as an advantaged partner
Manage portfolio across multiple sites to maximize revenue, profit and operational efficiency while minimizing inventory
Product Activation
Perform sales training on product attributes, reasons to believe, and market insights
Develop and maintain sales tools-Collateral, Product Demos/Sample Kits, Website, Advertising, Press Releases, White Papers, etc. in partnership with Marketing Communications
Assist in developing content and presenting innovations & insights to strategic customers
Collaborate with marketing communications and demand generation partners to develop integrated marketing plans - including trade shows, promotional materials, product sheets, advertising plans, etc.
