Product Manager

• Own and maintain product requirements, priorities, and roadmaps for assigned lines of business.
• Translate underwriting strategy and market insights into product objectives and requirements.
• Serve as a central point of coordination for product-related decisions.
• Conduct ongoing market analysis to ensure products support organizational growth initiatives.

• Support new product development from concept through implementation and launch.
• Manage ongoing product enhancements and maintenance driven by underwriting needs, regulatory developments, bureau updates, claims experience, and operational considerations.
• Ensure product intent is consistently reflected across policy forms, rates, rules, underwriting guidelines, and system configurations.

• Partner with Underwriting, Actuarial, Market Compliance, Claims, Operations, and IT to ensure product changes are feasible, compliant, and effectively executed.
• Work with Underwriting and Actuarial teams to define pricing parameters and monitor adherence to approved methodologies.
• Coordinate the timing and sequencing of product changes to minimize operational disruption and regulatory risk.
• Develop clear product specifications to support filings, system configuration, and implementation efforts.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and key contact for product-related regulatory and compliance matters.

• Contribute to product reporting and dashboards, monitoring metrics such as premium volume, loss experience, underwriting trends, and operational impacts.
• Identify and escalate emerging risks, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in PD-COE governance processes, including intake, prioritization, and oversight activities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries within assigned lines of business.
• Support training, communication, and change management initiatives related to product updates.

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, Actuarial Science, or a related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience will be considered.
• 7+ years of commercial property and casualty insurance experience, including 3+ years in product management, underwriting, actuarial, product development, compliance, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance products, policy forms, rates, rules, underwriting guidelines, bureau materials, and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with product governance frameworks, policy administration systems, rating and configuration platforms, data analytics, reporting tools, and implementation processes.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, manage stakeholders, lead change, prioritize initiatives, and collaborate across functions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex product, operational, regulatory, and technical concepts into clear business recommendations.
• Professional insurance or product management designations such as CPCU, ARM, AU, Agile/SAFe Product Manager certification, or similar credentials are preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:
Base salary range for this position is $125,000–$160,000 plus eligibility for a performance-based annual bonus.
