    Description

    We are seeking a motivated and innovative Product Development Engineer to lead the design, development, and launch of new products while enhancing existing product lines. This individual will play a key role in bringing concepts from initial design through production, ensuring products meet performance, quality, cost, and manufacturability objectives.The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative manufacturing environment and enjoys working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, and customers to deliver high-quality solutions.Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and improve products, components, and assemblies based on customer requirements and business objectives.Manage product development projects from concept and prototyping through validation, production release, and post-launch support.Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, bills of material (BOMs), and other technical documentation.Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, and quality.Coordinate prototype builds, testing activities, design verification, and product validation efforts.Analyze product performance, reliability, and field data to identify opportunities for product enhancements and corrective actions.Lead value engineering and cost reduction initiatives to improve product competitiveness.Collaborate with suppliers and purchasing teams on material selection, component sourcing, and technical requirements.Support engineering change management processes and oversee product lifecycle activities.Investigate and resolve manufacturing, quality, and field-related product issues.Ensure products comply with applicable industry standards, customer specifications, and safety requirements.Provide technical leadership and communicate project status to internal stakeholders and leadership teams.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.3+ years of product development, design engineering, or new product introduction experience within a manufacturing environment.Proficiency with CAD platforms such as SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD, or similar design software.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, material selection, and product testing methodologies.Experience working within cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.Knowledge of APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, or other structured product development methodologies.Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems and engineering change processes.Understanding of industry regulations, compliance requirements, and customer-driven specifications.#J-18808-Ljbffr
