Product Engineer

Global Financial Firm located in Tampa, FL has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Product Engineer.

Pay rate range: $ 74.00 - $ 78.00 Negotiable based upon years of experience

Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days in-office / 2 days remote)

Responsibilities:

• Act as a primary hands-on builder in an autonomous pod, taking features from whiteboard design through full-stack implementation to production deployment.
• Leverage modern AI-assisted development workflows to rapidly prototype, iterate on user interfaces, and build high-performance backend services.
• Deliver resilient, clean, and maintainable code across the entire stack—spanning responsive React frontends, Python microservices, and cloud-native backends.
• Partner closely with product managers and domain experts to deconstruct complex user journeys and identify the highest-leverage technical solutions.
• Design robust, modular system architectures and clean API contracts that scale cleanly across enterprise workloads.
• Serve as the technical benchmark and final line of validation for complex codebases and system architectures.
• Define and champion automated testing strategies, CI/CD governance, and modern observability practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep experience with React.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, and modern component systems.
• Robust backend engineering in Python or modern backend runtimes, focusing on clean RESTful/GraphQL API design.
• Practical experience with NoSQL/Document databases and relational stores, including schema design and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures, Infrastructure-as-Code, and automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical proficiency with AI-assisted development tools and coding agents.
