Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in computer-aided design and/or engineering tools.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles as they relate to company products.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate, communicate, and drive consensus across multiple teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack tools.
- Technical ability to design and diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to learn and use workflow and PDM systems.
- Prior work experience in the relevant industry.
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Advanced degree in engineering and/or business.
- Experience with company information systems and processes.
- Familiarity with the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), Enterprise Technology Development Process (ETDP), and/or Enterprise Customer Acquisition Process (ECAP).
- Experience with Design for Six Sigma tools and Design for Manufacturing techniques.
- Financial acumen such as cash flow analysis and return calculations.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Analyze assignments and determine engineering specifications for complex problems or projects.
- Produce and evaluate design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance.
- Compile and furnish necessary information to document design solutions for prototypes and adoption.
- Perform engineering calculations, collaborate on analysis, testing, and execute the design.
