Position Description:

  • Development of new NFC and Key Fob hardware, software, and systems: Work with lead engineer to take responsibility for a subset of parts/requirements.
  • Lead design reviews with internal and external teams including suppliers.
  • Quality documentation development and reviews
  • Ensure requirements such as FMVSS, ECE, and other regulatory or legal requirements are met including RF certification and homologation.
  • Packaging of receiver module to optimize RF reception.
  • Develop and execute design verification plan (DVP) for NFC READER and Key Fob systems on bench, HIL, and vehicle per program milestones requirements (DCV, PEC, FEC, etc).
  • Track status in FEDE and JIRA for issues.
  • Manage parts release in WERS.
  • Support programs through launch by leading issue resolution and presenting status to management.
  • Collaborate with Chassis and Vehicle Operations teams to ensure interface and process/assembly requirements are met.
  • Travel to supplier facilities and Client assembly plants as needed to support design reviews and launches of new products, APQP and PPAP approval.
  • Additional responsibilities may include the following: FEDE BOM, DBC, Device Transmittal, VSCS, ED&T and Mountain Charts, ESOW

Requirements:
  • Product Development, Product Management, APQP
  • Candidate should have minimum of 2 years of experience with design and testing of Automotive electrical systems - hardware, software, and systems.
  • Experience with vehicle network tools including CANalyzer.

Preferred:
  • Experience with development/testing of wireless technology is a plus.

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Master's Degree Preferred

Additional Information:
  • HYBRID / M-Th. F flexible
  • Candidate will be lead on NFC (Near Field Communication) Reader and key fob development for specific programs.
  • They must be motivated and self-driven to find and lead issues to closure
