    Job Title: Apparel Designer Basketball, Product Design
    Location: Beaverton, OR (Onsite, 4/1 Hybrid)
    Duration: 7 Months


    About The Team:
    This position reports to the Design Director of Basketball Apparel and works alongside a team of designers dreaming up the future of basketball. The role requires developing and managing cross-functional relationships with Graphic & Color designers, Product Management & Merchandising, Material/Trim Development, Technical Development, and Sourcing teams, translating cultural, consumer & athlete insights and trends into performance & style-led product.

    Who Are We Looking For:
    An apparel designer who blends style and performance through seasonal narratives that result in beautiful and functional product. A keen eye for design, creative thinking, problem solving, passion for apparel craft/innovation, and understanding of the basketball consumer and sport culture are critical traits. This role requires a distinct talent for responding to business objectives with creative design solutions that lead the market in both culture/style and performance, with expertise in men's & women's apparel design, fit, materials, and fashion. We're looking for a candidate who is resilient, collaborative, and able to juggle fast-paced competing priorities, with strong visual and verbal communication skills, collaborative problem solving, deep emotional intelligence, process proficiencies, and thoroughness in executing detail-oriented design assets.

    What Will You Work On:
    This Apparel Designer will help shape Women's & Men's, Branded & Signature apparel collections, playing a key part in bringing cohesive, performance-driven product to life each season through compelling narrative, material novelty, style & culture, and innovative performance craft in collaboration with color and graphics design.
    " Work closely with Apparel Design teammates and cross-functional partners to create the future of sport/culture across Basketball from creative-strategy brainstorms to reviews of apparel, graphic, and color designs
    " In-depth research on fashion, design, basketball, and sport culture
    " Collaborate closely with a team of designers spanning graphics, color, and concept
    " Translate trend, consumer insight, and brand vision into compelling product
    " Upskill ways of working through programs such as Vizcom/CLO or craft through physical prototyping

    Who Will You Work With:
    An immediate team of 5, including apparel designers and graphic designers, with heavy cross-functional collaboration with PLMs, Technical Developers, and Materials Developers.

    Must-Have
    " 8+ years of relevant work experience in a design environment working with materials, trims, design, and fit
    " Outstanding foundational design skills, including illustration across analog and digital platforms
    " Expertise in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
    " Familiarity with 3D rendering software (CLO, Vizcom)
    " Compelling portfolio demonstrating insight-driven design, concept/narrative development, problem-solving, and polished execution of women's and men's performance & style apparel product (required with submission)
    " Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proven success collaborating across cross-functional teams and presenting concepts to stakeholders

    Nice-To-Have
    " Miro experience
    " Demonstrated creative agility, positive attitude, self-awareness, and ability to manage competing priorities of varying complexity through ambiguity to completion

    Education / Experience Substitutions
    " Bachelor's Degree in Apparel/Fashion Design or related field preferred, not a hard requirement will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training
