Product Design Specialist

Quanex is looking for a Product Design Specialist to join our team on-site located in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

Are you a technically driven professional who enjoys turning ideas into reality. As a key contributor to new product development and product enhancements, you will lead projects from concept through production, ensuring innovative solutions are successfully implemented. You will create detailed CAD drawings, develop efficient processes and layouts, and design new products that meet customer and business needs. In addition, you will play an important customer-facing role by providing ongoing support, coordinating sample requests, and following up on new product introductions to ensure a seamless experience. This position offers the chance to combine creativity, engineering expertise, and project management skills to make a direct impact on product success and customer satisfaction.

Salary: $72,000 - $77,000 annually, pay based on experience

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-5:30pm department coverage, 8-9 hours worked daily (hours will be discussed during interview)

What Success Looks Like:

• Utilizes CAD software to develop conceptual drawings of new or modified products.
• Manages assigned product projects from concept to implementation, keeping meeting notes, and other related documentation of the development process.
• Coordinates with internal and external customers in the development of products.
• Provides support for Product Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sourcing.

What You Bring:

• Associate's degree in drafting or similar degree, required.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience, required.
• AutoCAD or similar software experience, required.
• Project Management and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple jobs simultaneously and to organize and review large volumes of data.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Bringing a positive attitude and team-oriented mentality.

The salary range for this position is $72K - $77K w/ bonus potential.
