About the Role

Our client is seeking a Product Design Engineer to apply engineering principles to the design, refinement, and enhancement of new or existing products and components. This role is crucial for turning concepts into practical, high-quality designs that meet performance, production, and usability requirements, contributing significantly to the organization’s product development process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, model, and test product prototypes.
  • Research and develop design proposals for assigned projects.
  • Establish clear design briefs and define concepts along with performance and production criteria.
  • Select appropriate materials for manufacturing.
  • Produce detailed drawings, specifications, and parts lists.
  • Estimate production costs and create functional sample models for demonstration.
  • Collaborate on marketing initiatives related to the product.
  • Negotiate and define suitable production processes.
  • Improve product usability and overall design effectiveness.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop concepts and detailed designs.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and thoroughly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace in line with 5S standards.
  • Adhere to all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years of relevant experience.
  • Works under general supervision and handles moderately complex issues.
  • Possesses solid working knowledge of the subject matter.
  • May provide leadership, coaching, or mentoring to junior team members.
  • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical aptitude.
  • Creative vision and innovative thinking.
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills.
  • Leadership capabilities.
