Job Title: Footwear Product Developer II Brand Impact Sports

Description:
We're hiring a Footwear Product Developer II to join our Brand Impact Sports Footwear Development Team working across multiple performance sports. As a member of the Nike Product Development team, you will work collaboratively with key functional partners throughout the Product Development process. This includes Footwear Engineering, Footwear Product Testing, Footwear Material Design and Material Development, Product Design, Product Management, Product Merchandising, Sourcing and Operations, and our overseas partners -- both within Nike and external to Nike. You will report to the Footwear Development Director for Brand Impact Sports. You will need to navigate the Nike matrix to ensure that our processes model and match Nike Footwear Development standard methodologies for product excellence. You will be the key point of contact for our overseas partners and ensure that communication during the product development process is clear and accurate.

Requirements for the role:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related field
2 additional years' meaningful work experience may be substituted with combination of education and proven experience
Minimum of 1 year work experience in a product creation relevant role or two years of additional proven experience
Proven verbal and written communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives
Project management experience

The ability to read technical drawings, sketches and/or 3D digital files is a plus
Ability to prioritize multiple work streams with competing priorities to deliver on tight timelines
Knowledge of footwear pattern engineering, tooling or manufacturing processes is a plus
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Drive product and process excellence within a team environment for assigned projects
Convert a project brief and a design rendering into a sample that meets the needs of both the consumer and the business
Engage in all phases of the product process to ensure projects are managed according to critical dates and completed on time, while meeting design intent, performance goals, costing/profitability, and sustainability targets
Ensure projects are ready for the commercialization process and can ultimately be manufactured
Lead product teams through the creation process to facilitate high level executions and on-time delivery of product according to critical dates and performance goals
Develop and apply a fundamental understanding of multiple sports and standard methodologies to identify product and testing requirements and assure product performance through physical and field-testing (fit)
Recommend and specify material, component and construction options to meet key features and product performance goals
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related field
