Website: About Us: LINQX
Position Summary:
LINQX seeks a decisive, hands-on Product Champion to own XOPS, our operations software for oilfield service companies, starting with hydraulic fracturing. XOPS connects the full job: bid, procurement of sand, chemicals and fuel, fleet and crew scheduling, stage execution, field ticketing and invoicing. You speak field-level frac, make clear calls without perfect data, and win over skeptical field leaders, executives and customers. You will own the XOPS lifecycle, growing it from frac to wireline, coiled tubing, flowback and water, then construction and industrial markets, on one platform core. Working with engineering, marketing, design, sales and field crews, you will deliver products customers adopt that measurably cut ticket disputes, unbilled product and days to invoice.
Key Roles / Responsibilities:
- Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to all stakeholders. Prioritize product features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on business goals, market demands, and user feedback. Align the product roadmap with the overall company strategy and ensure that product goals support business objectives.
- Discover and Conceptualize: Lead the discovery and conceptualization of novel software products and solutions tailored to the oil and gas industry's target market.
- Enhance Existing Products: Elevate our current product line through continuous improvement and innovation, optimizing it for superior market fit and customer satisfaction.
- Market Research and Collaboration: Conduct in-depth market research, monitor industry trends, and collaborate with customers to understand their unique challenges and requirements.
- User Requirements and Prioritization: Work closely with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to gather and document product requirements. Define and articulate clear user requirements, prioritizing features to achieve a harmonious balance between innovation, usability, and technical feasibility. Ensure that the product backlog is well-organized, prioritized, and consistently updated.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Actively engage in UAT to ensure the final product reflects planned features and functions.
- Product Vision and Adoption: Communicate a clear and compelling product vision, securing buy-in at all organizational levels, and fostering customer adoption through comprehensive training and support.
- Continuous Learning and Integration: Remain relentlessly inquisitive, proactively learning new industry domains, and integrating fresh technologies into LINQX's offerings.
- Analytical and Creative Problem-Solving: Demonstrate exemplary analytical and creative skills to address complex challenges and drive product differentiation in the marketplace.
- Customer Interaction and Feedback: Navigate customer interactions with finesse, distilling nuanced feedback into actionable product intelligence. Manage product releases and updates, ensuring smooth deployment and communication to stakeholders.
- Product Performance and Analysis: Monitor and analyze the performance of the product post-launch to assess its success against predefined metrics. Utilize customer feedback, user analytics, and business KPIs to refine product features and make data-driven decisions. Continuously iterate on the product based on feedback, ensuring it delivers maximum value to customers and the business.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all product-related inquiries. Provide clear and timely updates on the product development process to internal teams and external stakeholders. Act as the voice of the customer within the organization, ensuring that customer needs are prioritized.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required; a Master’s degree or higher is preferred.
- Significant experience in a product owner or product champion role within oil and gas technology or oilfield services, with a portfolio of product launches you personally owned from decision through adoption.
- Deep, field-level understanding of hydraulic fracturing business and operational workflows, from bid and quote through procurement, fleet and crew scheduling, stage execution, field ticketing and invoicing, including where data breaks down today (unbilled product, disputed tickets, demurrage, NPT).
- Decisive under uncertainty: makes and owns product decisions without complete data, protects what matters most (such as billing accuracy) when trade-offs are forced, and resets expectations directly with customers and sales.
- Persuasive with skeptics: wins over field leaders, executives and customers with field data and live demos, leads with the customer’s pain and a dollar metric, and is comfortable pushing back on senior leaders.
- Ability to design for scale across verticals: a common core data model (job, asset, crew, material, rate sheet, ticket) with configurable extensions, clear go/no-go criteria for new markets, and the discipline to decide what not to build.
- Thrives in a lean, less structured environment where you may be the product team: delivers quick wins within the first 30 days and ships rather than over-polishing.
- Sets and tracks measurable adoption and value targets (for example, active users, tickets submitted in the app, and days from ticket to invoice) and makes data-driven decisions.
- Self-aware and coachable: candid about your own development areas and how you adapt.
- Robust communication skills to effectively engage with diverse audiences and stakeholder groups.
- Proven proficiency in market research, including validating demand before building, and aligning product development with evolving market needs and customer expectations.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in user training and support, driving product adoption and customer satisfaction.
- Strong command of current technologies, including AI, and a visionary in applying them to product development.
- Strong understanding of product management principles, software development processes (Agile, Scrum), and the product lifecycle.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
- Skilled in prototyping tools and user requirement capture methodologies, ensuring efficiency and clarity in product design.
- Previous experience with UX/UI design or user-centered design principles.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, and basic understanding of technical concepts such as APIs, databases, and cloud technologies.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of leading multiple product initiatives simultaneously.
