This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing certification processes, preparing documentation, and liaising with regulatory bodies and certification agencies.\n \nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: \n \nBachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline\n \nAt least 3 months of relevant work experience\n \nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: \n \nExperience with 3D modeling to include Creo or SolidWorks\n \nExperience with machine design\n \nEssential Duties:\n \nApply compliance procedures and systems for applicable product types.\n \nSpecify and document product compliance requirements in formal documentation (Compliance Requirement Specifications, Bills of Material, Compliance Procedures, Engineering Design/Material Specifications). \n \nConduct and coordinate product certification activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., UL, ETL, CE, FCC, IEC, ISO). \n \nPrepare and submit documentation for certification applications and renewals. \n \nLiaise with regulatory bodies, certification agencies, and testing laboratories to secure and maintain product certifications. \n \nCollaborate with engineering, operations, sourcing, quality, service, and marketing teams to assure ongoing product content compliance and distribution control. \n \nParticipate in product design and development activities to ensure products are designed for certification success. \n \nMaintain certification schedules, reports, and records. \n \nSupport internal and external audits related to product compliance and certification. \n \nContribute to internal documentation and presentations on compliance topics. \n \nEngage in learning opportunities with senior compliance engineers and external regulatory contacts\n \nSupport product development plans (schedule, product cost, meeting design inputs).\n \nActs as a resource to more experienced engineers.\n \nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: \n \nAbility to perform detail oriented work with a high degree of accuracy;\n \nAbility to translate technical information to all audiences;\n \nUses basic engineering knowledge to improve products or services;\n \nAble to solve basic engineering problems; good decision-making skills;\n \nProficient oral and written communication;\n \nPhysical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.
