About the Company

Our client is the modern data-infrastructure platform for construction — a $12 trillion industry still running on software built 20–40 years ago. The product sits between legacy ERPs and modern construction software, automating manual workflows that contractors handle by hand across ERP sync, AP automation, expense management, and vendor management. It has 550+ paying customers on 1–3 year contracts, multi-million-dollar ARR, 10% monthly growth, and has been profitable and cash-flow positive since 2023.

The Role

The client is hiring a sharp, semi-technical generalist to become a deep product expert — working directly with engineers to spec, test, and ship product improvements in the weeds of complex integrations, edge cases, and real customer data. This is an execution role, not a strategy role: ~80% of the time is technical investigation, feature specs, QA, and rollout. By week one, the hire should be producing research docs ready for engineering to implement.

Tech stack: APIs, SQL, Postman, databases; 30+ ERP / field-tool / accounting-platform integrations.

Requirements

  • 0–3 years of experience (open to new grads)
  • Semi-technical: APIs, SQL, Postman, databases
  • Meticulous attention to detail; a structured thinker
  • A hands-on builder, not a strategist
  • Side projects, hustles, or systems-thinking signal
  • On-site in SF, 5 days, no remote

Nice to Haves

  • Side projects, side hustles, or shipped products showing hands-on technical curiosity
  • A strong startup-internship signal (YC company or comparable early-stage)
  • Demonstrated systems-thinking (puzzles, complex turn-based games, competitive math/CS)
  • A CS degree or technical major paired with curiosity for product-execution work
  • A top-20–30 school with strong academic signal

Why Join

  • Profitable, not burning runway: cash-flow positive since 2023, 10% monthly growth
  • A huge underserved market: data infrastructure for a $12T industry, with 30+ integrations to become expert in
  • A high-ownership execution role: own the full feature lifecycle — specs, QA, rollout — shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers
  • Strong comp and perks for the level: $100–125K + equity, 90% healthcare, 401(k) match, relocation bonus, daily meals, on-site gym
