The Product Analyst will support Optum's Transplant Solutions business and growth of the Managed Transplant Program (MTP) - a full-insured transplant policy sold nationwide to self-funded employer groups. The Product Analyst works with multiple internal and external stakeholders across employer renewals, new business quoting, and operational execution. This role is responsible for helping manage high-volume renewal and RFQ activity, maintaining accurate Salesforce records, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting scalable processes as the business grows. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, responsive, comfortable working independently, and able to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
This position is Hybrid with expectation of 3 days in the Eden Prairie, MN office or as business requires.
Primary Responsibilities:
New Business Quoting and RFQ Support
Support the end-to-end new business quoting process for MTP and related product offerings, including RFQ intake, data validation, coordination, tracking, and proposal support
Triage incoming quoting requests, identify and resolve missing information, and help ensure timely turnaround to meet Sales, broker, and client deadlines
Partner with Sales, Product, Underwriting, and operations teams to resolve questions, address data gaps, and move opportunities through the quoting workflow
Use Salesforce to track RFQ activity, maintain accurate records, monitor pipeline status, and support reporting needs
Identify opportunities to improve quoting workflows, reduce manual effort, and strengthen the broker/client experience
Renewal Operations and Process Ownership
Own and support key components of the employer renewal process across a large book of business, ensuring renewal activity is accurate, timely, and well-coordinated
Monitor renewal status, identify bottlenecks or at-risk accounts, and escalate issues as needed to protect service levels and client commitments
Coordinate offshore and internal resources supporting renewal production, including workload assignment, follow-up, quality review, and issue resolution
Partner with Account Management, Sales, Product, and Operations teams to support retention goals and ensure a consistent renewal experience
Document and improve renewal procedures to increase consistency, efficiency, and scalability
Stakeholder Communication and Product Support
Communicate professionally with brokers, consultants, employer clients, and internal partners to clarify requests, resolve issues, and support timely execution
Represent MTP externally with clear, accurate, and service-oriented communication
Translate operational, renewal, and quoting details into clear updates for stakeholders
Maintain a high level of responsiveness and follow-through across multiple concurrent priorities
Workflow, Systems, and Process Improvement
Manage a high volume of work across renewals and quoting while balancing deadlines, urgency, and business priorities
Act as a coordination point for incoming requests, ensuring work is routed, tracked, and completed appropriately
Maintain data quality, documentation, and audit readiness in Salesforce and related tools
Recommend process improvements based on request volume, turnaround times, stakeholder feedback, and recurring operational issues
Support business growth and product expansion, including increased demand related to newly launched ancillary products including the CAR-T risk product (the Managed Cell Therapy Program)
