About the Opportunity

Russell Tobin is partnering with a leading global technology company to identify an experienced Producer III to support its growing mobile gaming business.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of game production, product management, game design, player experience, and external development. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in mobile games, strong creative and analytical instincts, and the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external game development partners.

You will help guide improvements across multiple game titles, using player insights and data to influence game design decisions and create engaging experiences across leading consumer platforms.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner directly with external game development studios to help guide game improvements and deliver high-quality player experiences.

  • Provide thoughtful, data-driven feedback on game design, gameplay, player experience, and product performance.

  • Collaborate across multiple game titles and manage several game updates and initiatives simultaneously.

  • Work closely with internal product, creative, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to gather insights and translate them into actionable recommendations for development partners.

  • Evaluate the early moments of a game, including onboarding and initial player experiences, and identify opportunities to improve engagement and usability.

  • Help development partners prioritize and implement game improvements based on player data, qualitative insights, and product goals.

  • Track project milestones, priorities, dependencies, deliverables, and schedules across multiple concurrent projects.

  • Maintain strong operational visibility and ensure stakeholders have clear information on project status, risks, blockers, and next steps.

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external development partners.

  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, adapting communication style to the audience.

  • Facilitate alignment and consensus among creative, product, business, and development teams.

  • Identify areas of ambiguity, investigate problems, and proactively drive solutions.

  • Support game releases, updates, and ongoing product maintenance within the mobile/App Store ecosystem.

  • Utilize project and productivity tools such as Excel, Airtable, Quip, Keynote, and similar platforms to organize information and manage workflows.

  • Represent the client professionally when collaborating with external game development partners.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, game production, game design, or another game design-adjacent role within the mobile gaming industry.

  • Strong understanding of the mobile game development lifecycle, from concept and development through launch, updates, and ongoing maintenance.

  • Experience with games released and maintained through the App Store/mobile ecosystem.

  • Demonstrated ability to make data-backed game design and product decisions.

  • Strong understanding of player behavior, gameplay experiences, and what drives engagement and retention.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Proven experience managing multiple priorities, projects, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Proficiency with standard productivity and project management tools, including Excel, Airtable, Keynote, Quip, or comparable platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience directly contributing to game design features, particularly player onboarding and early-game experiences.

  • Experience analyzing player behavior, game performance, engagement, retention, or other game-related data.

  • Experience working directly with external game studios, developers, or development partners.

  • Experience in live games, game updates, content releases, or ongoing game operations.

  • Strong understanding of mobile game UX and player journeys.

  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage information across multiple projects and sources.

  • Passion for gaming and a strong understanding of what makes mobile games engaging and successful.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and consensus across creative, product, business, and development teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify ambiguity, define problems, and drive solutions.

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and competing deadlines.
