PGS Worldwide is seeking a Procurement & Subcontracts Specialist for an approximately six-month remote contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will manage complex procurement and subcontract activities for materials, software, and services supporting commercial and government programs. The specialist will oversee supplier sourcing, negotiations, compliance, performance, risk management, and purchase-order/subcontract execution throughout the program lifecycle.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Prior procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or subcontract-management experience.
- Experience managing purchase orders, subcontracts, or similar supplier agreements.
- Experience performing price analysis and supplier assessments.
- Experience negotiating pricing, schedules, terms, and conditions.
- Experience monitoring supplier performance related to cost, schedule, and quality.
- Ability to review and execute procurement activities in accordance with established policies, procedures, and contractual requirements.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with limited oversight.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must meet U.S. Person requirements.
Preferred Skills
- Master's degree.
- Experience managing sourcing, purchase orders, supplier negotiations, price analysis, and procurement documentation.
- Experience with FAR and DFARS requirements.
- Familiarity with FAA Acquisition Management System requirements.
- Experience supporting international procurement, including import/export requirements.
- Experience developing or reviewing Statements of Work.
- SAP experience.
- Experience working with or leading cross-functional teams.
- Experience supporting government or aerospace/defense procurement.
- Strong knowledge of supplier compliance and performance-management processes.
What You'll Do
- Execute and manage complex purchase orders and subcontracts for materials, software, and services.
- Support procurement activities from research and development through production, sustainment, and program closeout.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with applicable government, customer, and company requirements.
- Work with program management, engineering, quality, finance, contracts, global trade, and legal teams.
- Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships.
- Support bid and proposal activities, nondisclosure agreements, and teaming agreements.
- Review and assist with development of subcontract Statements of Work.
- Perform price analyses and comprehensive supplier assessments.
- Identify supplier, material, and supply-chain risks and develop contingency plans.
- Lead negotiations involving price, schedule, and contractual terms.
- Monitor supplier performance against cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Address supplier performance issues and support continuous improvement.
- Support purchase-order and subcontract invoice approvals and inquiries.
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records.

Pay
- $56.87 per hour.
- All hours paid at the standard hourly rate; no overtime premium.
