This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional with purchasing experience, or a highly organized administrative professional with exceptional Excel skills and a strong aptitude for numbers, systems, and process improvement.


The Procurement Specialist / Accountant will be responsible for managing purchasing activities, supporting accounting functions, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring accurate documentation across multiple departments. Key Responsibilities for the Procurement Specialist / Accountant:



  • Create, process, and track purchase orders

  • Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and invoices

  • Maintain vendor records and purchasing documentation

  • Assist with inventory tracking and inventory reconciliations

  • Support month-end accounting activities

  • Review invoices and ensure accurate coding and documentation

  • Reconcile financial and purchasing records

  • Monitor purchasing trends and identify opportunities for cost savings

  • Prepare reports using Excel and other business systems

  • Support administrative and operational projects as needed

  • Collaborate with accounting, operations, and management teams


Qualifications for the Procurement Specialist / Accountant:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field a plus

  • Experience in accounting, procurement, purchasing, or administrative operations

  • Experience using Business Central a plus

  • Strong Excel skills, including formulas, data management, and reporting

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Professional communication and vendor relationship management skills



Schedule
: Position is hybrid in Glen Burnie, MD (3 days in office, 2 days work from home)

  • 8am-5pm, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday with some flexibility

  • Candidates must be local to the Baltimore area and be able to reliably commute


Salary: $65,000 - $75,000
