    Summary - The Procurement Manager leads procurement, purchasing, inventory, and supply chain operations to ensure the timely, cost-effective availability of supplies, equipment, materials, and services. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for vendor management, contract negotiations, cost savings, inventory control, purchasing processes, and team leadership.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead procurement strategy and daily purchasing operations.
    • Build and manage strategic vendor relationships; negotiate pricing, contracts, discounts, rebates, and service agreements.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities, improve purchasing processes, and strengthen procurement policies and procedures.
    • Oversee purchasing systems, purchase orders, vendor setup, pricing updates, cost-center allocation, and invoice coordination.
    • Partner with Finance and internal departments to manage budgets, spending, reporting, and purchasing requirements.
    • Monitor vendor performance, supply availability, market trends, and potential supply chain disruptions.
    • Provide oversight of inventory control, shipping and receiving, materials storage, and inventory accuracy.
    • Maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing shortages, excess inventory, waste, and unnecessary costs.
    • Develop SOPs, reporting, and performance metrics to improve efficiency, accountability, and cost control.
    • Ensure appropriate documentation, audits, and compliance with applicable industry and organizational requirements.
    • Lead, coach, and develop procurement and materials team members while managing workflow, priorities, and performance.
    • Support centralized purchasing and standardization initiatives across the organization.

    Qualifications

    High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field preferred.
