Job Details
General Summary:
Leads a full-cycle, technology-enabled strategic procurement process across not-for-resale products and services. Partners with internal stakeholders (i.e. spend owners, category managers, buyers, etc.) to execute the key stages of the procurement process-from the development of the sourcing strategy and approach, to the execution of the RFx, to the auction event, pricing negotiations, and post-auction follow up including (but not limited to) contract negotiations, audit, cost recovery and supplier management with two-way performance scorecard.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Leadership (30%)
Program Management (40%)
Develop category-specific strategies that incorporate procurement tools (i.e., RFx and reverse auctions)
Develop and maintain the processes and infrastructure necessary to support a best-in-class procurement including:
Track key commodity indices and supply markets to develop procurement strategies and benchmark current costs
Develop category specific RFx library management processes, RFx templates
Develop negotiation strategy (traditional or online) criteria, templates, and setups
Provide supplier and internal training documentation and tools
Develop methodologies to assemble and leverage RFx and negotiation data collected throughout the procurement program back into the development of category management and sourcing strategies for next generation cost reduction and margin improvement
Develop metrics, collect and analyze data to summarize procurement opportunities and results and accomplishments over time for continuous improvement
Ensure contracts are fully negotiated and executed between the business owners and suppliers, and audit for compliance and cost recovery
Provide positive and constructive feedback to suppliers where appropriate to sustain and improve performance to scale with corporate growth strategies

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Work Experience &/or Education:
Bachelor's degree and at least 4-6 years experience either as a buyer, category manager, process/change agent, or manager in strategic procurement and contract negotiations, with a customer-oriented style. Experience in procurement strategies including developing sourcing strategies, product or service specifications, pricing models, and spend analysis.
