Procurement Manager - Utilities & FacilitiesThe Procurement Manager - Utilities & Facilities is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for utility services, facility operations, maintenance, capital projects, and related indirect spend categories. This role manages supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, drives cost savings initiatives, and partners with Facilities, Engineering, Operations, EHS, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure reliable, cost-effective services that support business operations.Job DescriptionDevelop and implement procurement strategies for utilities and facilities-related categories, including:Electricity, natural gas, water, wastewater, and other utility servicesFacility maintenance and repair servicesHVAC, electrical, mechanical, and building systemsJanitorial, landscaping, security, and waste managementCapital projects, construction, and facility upgradesMRO and facility-related suppliesLead competitive sourcing events including RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiations.Negotiate supplier agreements, service-level agreements (SLAs), pricing structures, and contractual terms to optimize cost, quality, and service.Manage a portfolio of vendors and strategic supplier relationships, conducting regular business reviews and performance evaluations.Partner with Facilities, Engineering, and Operations teams to identify sourcing opportunities, support capital projects, and ensure uninterrupted facility operations.Analyze spend data, identify cost reduction opportunities, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.Monitor utility consumption trends, market conditions, and industry benchmarks to support budgeting and forecasting activities.Ensure supplier compliance with company standards, safety requirements, insurance certifications, and regulatory obligations.Support sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmental initiatives through strategic vendor partnerships and sourcing decisions.Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, accruals, contract management, and savings validation.Maintain procurement policies, sourcing documentation, supplier records, and contract repositories.Drive supplier diversity and risk management initiatives where applicable.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
