As a Procurement Buyer II here at Honeywell, you will play a vital role in managing and executing procurement activities that support our organization''s operational and strategic goals. Key Responsibilities
Source and procure raw materials including:
Sheet metal (steel, stainless steel, aluminum), Tubes, bars, and structural materials, Welding consumables (wire, gases, electrodes), Fasteners, hardware, and standard components
Procure fabricated and machined parts from approved suppliers, Issue RFQs and analyze supplier quotations to ensure best value, Evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and lead time performance
Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery delays, and pricing discrepancies
Collaborate with Honeywell Corporate Category Leaders to execute sourcing strategies and supplier contracts
Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives in coordination with internal stakeholders and suppliers, Work closely with Production Planning, Project Engineering, and Warehouse teams
Review of MRP signals and project-based purchase requisitions; Execute RFQs with approved suppliers and manage purchase order issuance; Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production and project schedules
Interpret engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs); Ensure correct material specifications (grade, thickness, finish, tolerances) are communicated to suppliers
Support new product introductions and engineering changes; Assist in make vs. buy analysis in collaboration with Global Category Leaders; Ensure purchased materials meet industry standards and customer specifications
Support compliance with ISO, safety, and regulatory requirements; Work with quality teams to resolve supplier-related issues; Maintain accurate procurement records in ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Manage purchase orders, supplier data, and inventory tracking; Track key KPIs such as, On-Time Delivery, Cost savings, Supplier performance
