Electrical Contractor seeking Procurement and Purchasing Coordinator

A Procurement and Purchasing Coordinator oversees the ordering, tracking, receiving, and material staging for company projects installation and service. This person is a liaison between the project managers and the project material needed to keep a project flowing on time with the least number of delays.


Job Responsibilities:


·         Will work with project estimators and managers as project material needs arise, verifying correct part numbers from the estimating software, Jetbuilt, and creating purchase orders per supplier. 


·         Work with vendors to ensure good relations are maintained. 


·         Tracking and coordinating material shipments through each supplying vendor for deliveries, back orders, and delays.  Regular follow up communication with project manager or project lead of material delivery status.


·         Receiving material as delivered, verifying correct quantities and products vs purchase orders.  Identify material per project and stage accordingly.


·         Process any outgoing material shipments and manage records.


·         Rotate stock and relocate to accommodate fluctuating inventory levels. 


·         Keep all records of material orders per project organized and up to date for quick reference.


·         Maintain a clean and organized work area. 



 Qualifications: 
·         Three years’ prior experience in managing above job responsibilities.
·         Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, emails, typing, etc.)
·         Excellent organizational and time management skills with high attention to details. Proficiency with prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines.
·         A self-starter who can priorities tasks for optimal workflow.
·         Ability to follow directions with a positive attitude.
·         Ability to lift average 10-20 lb. boxes.
·         Good communication and phone skills.
·         Holds a valid driver license with a clean driving record.
