Process Technician I

Plans the sequence of operations and specifies procedures for cutting, shaping, and otherwise preparing basic material, exercising judgment in compromising between conflicting requirements, economic evaluation of methods, and operator effectiveness and comfort. Conducts tests and measurements throughout stages of production to determine control over variables such as temperature, density, specific gravity, pressure, and viscosity.

Summary:

• Encompasses the application of scientific and technological principles concerned with a continuous or periodic system of operations or activities in the production of manufactured products.
• Designs and plans layouts for processes such as hardening, washing, laminating, etching, engraving, polishing, plating, and other material-processing operations.
• Plans the sequence of operations and specifies procedures for cutting, shaping, and otherwise preparing basic material, exercising judgment in compromising between conflicting requirements, economic evaluation of methods, and operator effectiveness and comfort.
• Conducts tests and measurements throughout stages of production to determine control over variables such as temperature, density, specific gravity, pressure, and viscosity.
