    Job Description

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Safely handle energetic materials used in multiple end products.
    • Assemble, inspect, package, and prepare products for shipment to customers.
    • Set up, operate, and monitor process equipment in accordance with established procedures and standard work instructions.
    • Perform complete process changeovers, including assisting with equipment setup and product changeovers.
    • Assists in troubleshoot equipment, quality, and productivity challenges to maintain efficient operations.
    • Maintain equipment uptime and utilize production time effectively to meet customer demand.
    • Follow detailed work instructions and procedures in an AS9100 manufacturing environment.
    • Conduct objective quality inspections on own work and the work of others, taking corrective action as necessary.
    • Accurately document production activities, inspections, inventory transactions, and process data.
    • Maintain accurate inventory levels to support production requirements and company policies.
    • Participate in customer-related quality investigations, product improvements, and corrective action activities as required.
    • May assist in training new operators and other employees on products, processes, equipment, and revised procedures.
    • Support continuous improvement activities focused on safety, quality, efficiency, waste reduction, and cost improvements.
    • Make decisions and prioritize activities according to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready work area, including daily housekeeping activities.
    • Maintain accurate and legible production records and documentation in accordance with ISO and AS 9100 requirements.
    • Participate in all required safety programs, meetings, and training activities.
    • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervision.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

    • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
    • At least 18 years of age
    • Able to pass a drug screening and background check
    • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
    • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, and process documentation.
    • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after completing required training.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    • Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
    • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic machinery operation and troubleshooting.
    • Ability to operate multiple pieces of manufacturing equipment with varying user interfaces.
    • Ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and units of measure.
    • Ability to maintain accurate records and production documentation.
    • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
    • Experience using ERP or manufacturing systems; IFS experience preferred.
    • Willingness and ability to work overtime as required.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the duties of this job:

    • Works regularly near moving mechanical parts and equipment.
    • Works with explosives and energetic materials.
    • Most materials are at or near room temperature.
    • The noise level is usually moderate.  Periodic exposure to high levels of noise will occur (hearing protection is provided where needed).
    • Works primarily in indoor situations with occasional exposure to heat and cold
    • Works both individually and in team environment with other personnel.
    • The use of proper PPE is required and enforced in all process areas
    • Reports to work on time and maintains an excellent attendance level
