Key Responsibilities:In collaboration with the Distillation Process Manager, this role will lead multiple process operators across 2 shifts:Assigning daily job assignments to employees in their respective areaScheduling equipment usageEnsuring employees are properly trained to perform the essential functions of their roles including operating equipment and following company policies and SOPsProviding a collaborative/team environment through ongoing coaching and mentoringResponsible for very thorough and detailed pass down of work assignments to the next shift to ensure no breaks in key prioritiesActs as an ambassador and ensures adherence for all team/personnel in observance of safe practices and good housekeepingDrive a team-focused and professional environment through both words and actionsSubject matter experts on distillation process and purging NCGsTakes initiative to troubleshoot and solve problems as they ariseUtilizes all available resources to meet the production schedule and productivity goalsProvides direct and daily feedback to the responsible Supervisor regarding any personnel, equipment, safety, or productivity problemsSupport Planning Lead on providing constant feedstock for the distillation columns and blending final productsProvides data as required to track the teams' progress towards achieving department and company goals and objectivesInstructs and trains new operators; procedural revision and required regulatory trainingUnderstands and follows GMP guidelines and ISO 9001 where applicableRead Blend sheets and record all information required, both written and electronicallySafely handle and transfer flammable materialsOperate various pieces of process equipment related to the specific job function such as batch tanks, pumps, compressors, etc. Routinely works from formulas, charts, tables, and schedulesMonitor and control temperatures, rotating equipment, pressures, mass, and volumetric flowResponsible for maintaining proper records to avoid efficiency losses and cross-contamination of other productsPerforms routine inspection of equipment, such as pumps, hoses, compressors, chillers, etc., and records data as requiredReplaces damaged or worn parts such as changing filters and other minor maintenance tasks as needed/requested.

Responsible for ensuring that quality control is implemented on a constant basis.Personally, follow all operational processes and carry out quality control checks and ensure the close inspection of the work activities of the team. Reinforce the importance of the Awareness policy to site personnel, to keep smooth and safe running of workshop operations.Ensures that product is processed meeting established regulatory, customer and A-Gas internal requirements and specifications. Sample product throughout the shift to ensure on-spec product.Follows Quality protocol concerning required documentation of verifications and the documentation, notification and handling of nonconformities.Additional duties/ad hoc project as assigned/requested by management Certifications Required:High School Diploma or equivalent, requiredAbility to obtain EPA 608 Certification within 6-months of employmentAbility to obtain Forklift certificationPossess a valid Driver's License QualificationsEssentialProcess Technology Degree or prior experience in a Process Operator role Excellent math skills Basic mechanical aptitudeMicrosoft word/excel required Experience in manufacturing, or specialty gas industry Understanding of basic engineering, warehouse, and environmental servicesUnderstanding of distillation and HMI operation of distillation columnsPreferredExperience with Gas ChromatographyExperience with Chemical Blending and TransferringExperience Driving ISO/Tanker containers using a Yard Hostler desiredPrevious experience operating distillation columns  Physical Demand Requirements:   Good physical fitness and able to handle, move and/or lift at least 50 poundsAbility to sit 10% of the day; stand and walk 80-90% of the timePushing/Pulling up to 50% of the timeLifting/Carrying from one level to another approximately 20%Ability to move cylinders that weigh up to 200 pounds with four-wheel cartAbility to have good dexterity and visual acuity to operate computer and enter text by means of a traditional keyboardManipulations (seizing, holding, grasping or otherwise working with hands) up to 50-75% of the dayDriving a motorized vehicle such as forkliftStooping and kneeling up to 20% of the dayWe are an equal opportunity employer.
