Process Mechanical Estimator

JSG is seeking a Process Mechanical Estimator for our client
In this role, you will analyze blueprints, perform accurate quantity takeoffs, develop comprehensive cost estimates, and support project teams by providing critical business insights. Your work will directly influence project success and client satisfaction, making this an ideal position for a motivated professional looking to make a tangible impact.
Candidates must be located in any of the 3 locations: Indianapolis, IN, Portland, OR, or, Phoenix, AZ

Pay $55/hour

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent discipline
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in process mechanical estimating
• Proficiency in bid evaluations, take-offs, and using RS Means or industry-standard databases
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and web-based estimating platforms

Nice to Have Skills

• Familiarity with union and trade construction cost standards
• Experience working with A/E firms and project teams
• Ability to perform site walks and travel as needed
• Background in working with market and budget estimates

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in process mechanical or related estimating roles
• Proven track record in handling detailed bid evaluations and cost reconciliations

Other Requirements

• Must reside in or be willing to relocate within Indianapolis, IN; Portland, OR; or Phoenix, AZ
• Quarterly travel to Indianapolis for remote candidates
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment
• Eligible for related certifications or industry memberships a plus
