PURPOSE
Our client is seeking a Process Manager to lead the processing team at a mid-sized heap leach facility. The role ensures safe, efficient operations across the recovery plant, refinery, and metallurgical labs, delivering production targets within operational and cost constraints.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and manage all process activities, including operations, maintenance, metallurgy, and lab functions.
Support operational strategy, continuous improvement, and optimization initiatives.
Promote collaboration across departments to improve safety, efficiency, and gold recovery.
Maintain accurate metallurgical accounting, reporting, and forecasting systems.
Serve as a technical resource for site projects and process-related decisions.
Champion safety and environmental stewardship.
Develop and mentor staff, fostering a high-performing, aligned team.
Maintain professional relationships with vendors and internal teams to support operations.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related process discipline preferred.
8+ years in mining, with significant experience in heap leach gold processing.
5+ years in supervisory roles, leading operational teams.
Proven track record in safety, process improvement, and operational leadership.
Ability to interpret technical data and apply it to improve processes and reduce risks.
Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
Experience driving operational change and process improvement initiatives.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and best practices in gold processing.
