Process Engineer – Water Treatment & R&D
Location: Midland/West Texas
Salary: $110,000–$130,000 + 10% Bonus
An innovative industrial water organization is seeking a Process Engineer to support process optimization, engineering and R&D initiatives involving advanced water-treatment operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead process optimization initiatives
- Analyze plant and laboratory operating data
- Develop process models, mass balances and performance calculations
- Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce operating costs
- Evaluate water-treatment and emerging technologies
- Support engineering/design for R&D initiatives
- Coordinate pilot programs, field trials and proof-of-concept testing
- Develop technical evaluations and business cases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Process, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years of relevant industrial process-engineering experience
- Experience in water treatment, chemical processing, desalination, refrigeration or similar industrial environments
- Strong chemistry/thermodynamics, analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in plant and field environments
Travel: This is a hands-on position requiring regular travel to a West Texas operating facility, generally 3–4 days per week. Company transportation, fuel and lodging support are available.
