    Description

    Our esteemed client has an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer in a well established manufacturing environment. This is a full-time position with benefits.
     
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Develop & modify manufacturing process instructions & visual aids; Train others on new documents.
    • Design & implement process flows via continuous improvement & increased efficiencies
    • Provide support & solve problems to ensure product quality in the production area.
    • Introduce new product in molding areas; Determine set up parameters with molding technicians.
    • Develop work instructions, packaging, layouts, products & process validations.
    • Evaluate & follow up on defects reports; Analyze root cause & trends; Develop improvement plans.
    • Maintain scrap under acceptable levels; Analyze & prepare reduction plans.
    • Interface w/Sales, Production & Quality teams to coordinate the introduction of new products.
    • Utilize measuring & validation equipment effectively.
    • Develop & maintain long-term relationships with vendors & customers.
    • Communicate with client Engineering Teams; Resolve technical issues &inspire client confidence.
    • Leverage injection molding experience to improve overall quality, productivity & profitability.
    • Partner daily with Project Manager to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
    • Trains inspectors on process review & quality.
     
    • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s Degree, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering concentration preferred
    • 5-7 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering
    • Plastics industry background highly preferred
    • Medical & Aerospace experience highly desirable
     
    Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • IQMS highly desirable
    • Lean Manufacturing experience highly desirable
    • Exposure to 5S and Six Sigma preferred

    Physical Demands:
    • Regularly required to sit or stand, and move about the facility.
    • Employees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA.
     
    Personal Protective Equipment:
    • Safety Glasses are required.
     
    Work Environment:
    • Work performed in a shop environment.
    • Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise.
    • Flexible work hours may be considered with prior management approval.
    • Foreign & domestic travel is possible, approximately 10% of the time.
