Description

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to achieve safety, quality, and productivity objectives. Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, equipment reliability, and operational performance. Lead data-driven investigations to reduce variability and eliminate recurring manufacturing issues. Conduct root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the operation. Serve as a technical expert for process and equipment-related troubleshooting. Work with internal engineering and technical specialists to implement best practices and innovative solutions.

Project Leadership

Manage equipment and process improvement projects from initial concept through startup and completion. Develop project scopes, business cases, budgets, schedules, and performance targets. Coordinate engineering design, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and startup activities. Lead cross-functional project teams while minimizing disruption to plant operations. Support outage planning and resource coordination for successful project execution. Monitor project spending, forecasts, and overall project performance.

Capital Planning & Business Support

Contribute to long-term capital planning by identifying improvement opportunities and developing project justifications. Prepare cost estimates, project documentation, vendor evaluations, and investment proposals. Partner with purchasing teams and contractors to secure required equipment and services. Ensure all contractor activities comply with safety and operational standards.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Engineering experience in manufacturing, industrial, production, or process environments. Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities. Experience leading process improvement and operational excellence initiatives. Comfortable working hands-on with production and maintenance teams. Knowledge of quality systems, ISO standards, and continuous improvement methodologies preferred. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. AutoCAD or similar CAD software experience is a plus. Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support plant operations. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
