Description
- Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and maximise output.
- Lead investigations into production challenges and implement practical solutions that improve performance.
- Work closely with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to deliver operational improvements.
- Support new product launches by ensuring manufacturing processes are capable, reliable, and scalable.
- Develop manufacturing procedures, process controls, and technical documentation.
- Analyse production and quality data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in root cause analysis activities and drive corrective and preventative actions.
- Collaborate with equipment suppliers and external partners on process and technology improvements.
- Deliver training and technical guidance to production personnel.
- Promote safe manufacturing practices and support compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Profile
- Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to lead projects and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work across different teams.
- Hands-on approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
Nice to Have
- Experience within cable, wire, plastics, metals, or other high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar methodologies.
- Familiarity with quality tools such as SPC, PFMEA, and root cause analysis.
- Experience working with CAD software or manufacturing equipment improvements.
- Understanding of ISO-regulated manufacturing environments.
