Process Engineer - Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement

Job TitleJob Description Required Education: Bachelor's degree in operations, Engineering, Supply Chain or a relevant field. Required Experience: Extensive experience in Lean Manufacturing Tools (5S, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, Visual Management, Kaizen, etc.) is required. 4+ years of experience with any type of Production Systems (ex: Toyota Production System or any other similar systems). Extensive experience with Agile Methodologies/Project Management. Ability to set overall priorities and form action plans to implement & monitor for results. Experience with cost-saving projects for a manufacturing plant. Experience in industrial mechanical and/or electrical assembly. Experience with change management principles and demonstrated ability to drive and manage the change process. Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint & Excel) is a requirement. Required Skills Ability to interact and lead others in a collaborative environment. Strong leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving, project management and communication skills. Lead by influence.Job Responsibilities: Lead the continuous Improvement strategy: The person is in charge of the continuous improvement of the whole process, both in Front-end & Core, i.e. from tendering to delivery. Animate continuous improvement on operational processes in the plant based on Client Performance. Challenge, follow Kaizen events, and in some cases lead some of them. Smart factories: Lead the deployment of the smart factory solutions in the plant; the point of contact for the IPM and global smart factory leader. Productivity: Define a yearly action plan to build productivity. Follow the productivity action plan and ensure achievement of the Direct Labor Productivity target. Report the Direct Labor Productivity to support functions by using standard tools and processes. Ensure the transversal animation to get sustainability of Client Production System (SPS) level in the plant (including implementation of action plans driven by SPS assessment). Ensure the growing skills at all levels in the factory on the principles of manufacturing excellence. Manage the plant Value Stream Mapping (current & future state) and lead the continuous improvement of Product Lead Time by animating a transversal action plan at plant level.
