PROCESS ENGINEER – INJECTION MOLDING
A growing manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer with a background in injection molding to support production, troubleshoot issues, and lead process improvements. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys working on the floor, solving technical challenges, and contributing to new product introduction and equipment upgrades.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support mold trials and help transition new tooling and models into production.
- Investigate and resolve scrap, cycle time, and process variability issues.
- Collaborate with production, tooling, and maintenance teams to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Participate in capital projects involving molding equipment and automation.
- Assist with tooling reviews and design feedback using CAD and 3D modeling software.
- Identify and implement process changes that drive down cost and improve part quality.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Plastics, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in injection molding.
- Working knowledge of 3D CAD software preferred
- Familiarity with robotics, automation, and molding support systems preferred
- Willingness to support off-shift activity when needed for trials or troubleshooting.
