Description

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer III to support a leading life science manufacturer. This role focuses on tech transfer of a chemical manufacturing process, equipment and process validation, and ongoing process optimization. The position requires strong communication skills, technical depth, and the ability to collaborate across teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Equipment qualification — Lead installation, operational qualification, and process validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ)

  • Process development — Create process flow diagrams, mass and energy balances, and support HAZOP and FMEA risk assessments

  • Work instructions — Develop and execute detailed work instructions

  • Deviation support — Investigate process deviations and implement corrective actions

  • Continuous improvement — Use data-driven decision-making to optimize processes

  • Safety and quality — Promote a strong safety-first and quality-focused culture

 

Skills and Competencies

  • Safety mindset with strong adherence to best practices

  • Knowledge of process and equipment validation

  • Understanding of ISO standards, risk assessments, deviation investigations, and change control

  • Familiarity with cGMP environments

  • Understanding of statistical tools and statistical process control

  • Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma experience is a plus

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

 

Work Environment

  • Work performed in both office and production-floor settings

  • Collaboration with manufacturing and cross-functional teams

  • Some travel may be required

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or a related field

  • 7–10 years of relevant experience, including chemical manufacturing

 

Pay- $65.00 to $70.00 per hour DOE
