    Location: *** Solar Plant (Hemlock, MI)
    Type: On-Site, 40 hours a week, M-F, 8am - 5pm

    Education: Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or another STEM field

    Interview and Selection Process
    Initial phone or video screening.
    Panel interview with project and team members.
    Local candidates preferred, but non-local candidates willing to relocate on their own may be considered if local candidates are not availble.
    Local candidates may be asked to come on site before final selection.

    Top skills/requirements:
    Bachelors is required, plus 2 years professional (not academic) Process Engineer experience in a manufacturing plant.

    Scope of Position
    The Process Engineer will provide hands-on support in a manufacturing environment to identify equipment, product, process, or operational issues and implement practical corrective actions that improve safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities
    Provide hands-on engineering support on the manufacturing floor to troubleshoot equipment, product, process, and operational issues.
    Analyze data, observations, and process conditions to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.
    Recommend, implement, and verify corrective actions to improve quality, uptime, throughput, and process stability.
    Support equipment start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, qualification, and process optimization.
    Partner with operations, maintenance, quality, engineering, and vendors to resolve issues and sustain improvements.
    Maintain procedures, standard work, technical documentation, and clear communication of findings and recommendations.

    Required Qualifications
    Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or another STEM field required.
    Hands-on experience in a manufacturing, production, industrial, or plant environment.
    Demonstrated ability to identify equipment, product, process, or operational issues and implement corrective actions.
    Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional teamwork skills.
    Commitment to safe work practices and compliance with plant procedures.

    Preferred Skills and Experience
    Experience with root cause analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, DOE, or other continuous improvement methods.
    Familiarity with manufacturing systems, process controls, data analysis tools, and production performance metrics.
    Mechanical aptitude and willingness to spend time on the manufacturing floor engaging with operators and observing processes.
